Safety notice

Arête is not an emergency-response service. Do not rely on it to summon help.

• Digital maps and GPS can be inaccurate, especially under tree cover, in canyons and with a low battery.
• Weather, closures and trail conditions change. Check official sources before you go.
• User-submitted reports are unverified and show the date they were observed.
• Carry a paper map, water, layers and a way to call for help where coverage allows.
