  • Explore on the map

A full-screen map with trails in view, filters with a live count, place search, contours, 3D terrain and satellite.

  • Real elevation

Elevation gain, loss, high and low points and a profile chart for nearly every Boulder trail, computed from the U.S. Geological Survey's public elevation model.

  • Along the way

Mapped viewpoints, peaks, waterfalls, water, parking, toilets, camp sites and climbing areas on each trail, with where they sit along the route.

  • Trail features and effort

Browse by dogs, wheelchair access, surface, bikes, horses, views and more. Effort is computed from length and climb; it is not an official difficulty.

  • Areas and official links

Pages for Boulder County, towns, parks and forests, each linking to the managing agency for parking, fees and permits.

  • Miles by default

Distances and elevations show in miles and feet, with a one-tap switch to kilometres and metres.

  • Route builder, GPX and print

Draw your own route, snap it to trails, and download GPX. Trail pages print cleanly.

  • Weather, sunrise and sunset

A 7-day forecast from the U.S. National Weather Service and computed sunrise and sunset at the trailhead.

  • Lists, trips, journal and reviews

Save trails, make private lists, plan trips with a safety checklist, keep a nature journal with private photos, and post dated condition reports.

  • Plant identification

Photograph a plant and get ranked suggestions. Suggestions are never proof.
